David has over twenty-five years of professionally servicing within many underserved and diverse socio-economiccommunities. David works directly with communities to address issues that often plague and presents hurdles to progress. Currently, David is with Henrico Mental Health within the Prevention Unit assisting with the development and implementation of environmental strategies. These strategies increase community protective factors against alcohol, substance abuse and other harmful factors. David is an effective communicator who can convert complicated information into an easily understandable format. David has an extensive background working youth and organizations. David is currently the Co-coordinator of Henrico Youth Ambassadors, an organization of Henrico County high school students that are taught leadership skills and the importance of community advocacy. David is a result-driven professional who is committed to the development of informed, competent, capable, strong future leaders.

SHALETHA A. DYSON, SHRM-CP

Shaletha A. Dyson, SHRM, CP is a certified human resources professional with over 10 years of progressive experience and consistent record of success. Over the past decade, Ms. Dyson has held various positions related to human resources leadership and operational roles and has served on numerous project steering committees. She has provided counsel to leadership to help achieve strategic and organizational goals while mitigating risk.

She is a member of the national and local level

for the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has served on the local leadership conference committee.

Ms. Dyson’s education includes a bachelor 's degree from Strayer University in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a master’s degree from Ashford University in Organizational Management with a focus in Public Administration.

She currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for Goochland County. Prior to joining Goochland County, she served the City of Richmond from 2012-2022 where she held various Human Resources positions with the last position as Human Resources Division Chief. Ms. Dyson 's comprehensive background in human resource management includes recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development, classification and compensation, and policy development and interpretation.

Prior to joining the public sector, she has held positions with nonprofit organizations.

Derrell Ross is an incredibly talented and accomplished individual. With a diverse range of skills and a passion for both the arts and business, Derrell has carved a unique path for himself. In 1996, he graduated from VCU with a minor in dance and an MBA, showcasing his dedication to both his artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Following his graduation, Derrell embarked on a successful career in TV production, where he honed his creative abilities and learned the ins and outs of the industry. However, his ambitions didn't stop there. He went on to open several businesses in the Richmond, Virginia area, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and his drive to make a positive impact on the local community.

In addition to his accomplishments in the arts and business, Derrell is also a passionate advocate for human rights. He recognized the importance of this cause and decided to further his knowledge and skills by obtaining a Human Rights Manager and Advocate certificate from the prestigious US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights.

As an individual committed to making a difference, Derrell founded Justice Light Corp in 2022. This organization, under his leadership, aims to promote justice, equality, and fairness in society. Through innovative initiatives and collaborations, Derrell and his team at Justice Light Corp are working tirelessly to create a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
